Inquiry

In this stage, regular contact with Religious of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ) communities will provide you with opportunities to learn more about our lifestyle and our approaches to being together in community. You will have many opportunities to reflect with others about your interest in religious life and in the Society of the Sacred Heart. You will meet regularly with an RSCJ in your area and with our director of vocation ministry, and  you will be encouraged to meet with a spiritual director – a person who is trained to help you focus on where God is leading you as you make important life decisions.

This process of inquiry, often referred to as “discernment,” usually takes about two years and requires a commitment to regular prayer and reflection.
